fun with photoshop

So I started out loving this picture of my daughter Madisyn being sassy, but it needed editing and a little enhancing. The background was messy and the color was just boring.

So I removed the background, made it black and white, adjusted the levels for a dramatic look, and put it on a white background. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Luxe is more?

So I named this blog Luxe is More because first of all, I am a "less is more" kind of designer and person in general- I totally believe in and try to live by this quote.  Secondly, I'm a huge Ludwig lover. You know the guy known for the aphorism "less is more" - Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. I studied him in college and have been in love ever since. We were meant for each other.  He's famous for the iconic Barcelona Chair and the Farnsworth House and lets not forget he was the designer of the first glass skyscraper- the Seagram building.

Hello Design World

This blog site is intended to share with the design world a number of great design ideas, recent news, tricks and tips, product news and all the details through my journey in creating beautiful things! Interior Design is my first love and will be the main focus of this blog but my second love is photography. I intend to take you through the photoshop world of editing and enhancing images and well as shooting them. I might also touch on fashion, art, graphic design and beauty- other things I find interesting and believe that you will too.
